The British School of Brussels is proud to have been named as one of the first members of Friends of FOBISIA, the Federation of British International Schools in Asia, a not-for-profit membership organisation in the international education sector. FOBISIA promotes high-quality British education in Asia.
It promotes excellence in British-international education and provides peer-to-peer support, continuing professional development and student enrichment opportunities.
Friends of FOBISIA is open to a limited number of British international schools located outside of Asia and is a collaborative partnership which aims to strengthen connections between the Federation and schools beyond the Asia region.
“We are delighted to be the first member of FOBISIA from outside of Asia,” said BSB Principal Melanie Warnes. “This is a great recognition of BSB’s international reputation for high quality, and all-round international education.”
“Our families join BSB from across the globe and it is important therefore, that we are part of the best professional networks in the world,” she added. “A significant number of our students are from countries in Asia. FOBISIA represents outstanding schools in that region, and we are delighted that BSB is a member of such an internationally significant group of professionals. In the spirit of reciprocity BSB can offer much to education in Asia and we will invariably learn much too from this partnership.”
