The British School of Brussels GCSE results 2022 are in! Following the recently announced excellent Post-16 results for A Level, the IB Diploma and BTEC, we are delighted to announce that it has been another year of outstanding GCSE exam success for our students.
It is with real pride and delight that we can also say that the numbers of top grades at 7 or higher have increased to 62% of all grades compared to 26% of grades in the UK. Our number of grades 4 and higher have also increased to 97% of all grades compared to a UK national figure of 73%.
“We are delighted for the students that they have achieved such amazing results and it is a testament to their hard work and resilience through two very challenging years of Covid disruptions,” said John Knight, Vice Principal and Head of Secondary School. “These great results set our students up for future success whether they go on to study A-levels, IB or BTEC at BSB, and gives them a great foundation for their future studies.”
“This cohort of students has excelled in their exams this year despite the significant challenges that faced them, having undertaken a proportion of their learning online,” added Phil Townsend, Head of Year 11. “It is testament to their character, hard work and resilience. They should be very proud of the achievements.”
BSB Principal, Melanie Warnes said, “We couldn’t be prouder of all our students. I wish them further success in the next phase of their education. A big thank you also to our dedicated staff for their commitment, and parents for their invaluable support.”
In recent years BSB students have achieved outstanding public examination results at GCSE and IGCSE level and in all three of our pre-university routes – English A Levels, BTEC and the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma. Learn more about a BSB education.
