The British School of Brussels is honoured to announce its inclusion in the prestigious Spear’s Schools Index for 2025, underscoring its position as a world leading school.
The BSB community takes great pride in the school retaining its status as a Top 10 Independent School in Europe (excluding Switzerland) in the Spear’s Index, the only school in Belgium in this year’s list, and its continued inclusion in the Top 100 Independent Schools in the world. It is the latest recognition of our work by Spear’s who named BSB School of the Year in 2023.

BSB’s inclusion in the Spear’s Schools Index follows on from the school’s inclusion in the European list of Top 100 International Baccalaureate (IB) Schools worldwide last year. In a remarkable achievement that underscores the school’s dedication to world-class education, BSB was ranked joint 28th, an outstanding placing which was even more remarkable as BSB is non-selective on ability.
In addition, The British School of Brussels was named one of the Top 15 best private European schools in the prestigious Carfax Education Schools Index 2024, the world’s leading international private school ranking – the fifth year in a row that the school has featured. BSB also earned a spot among the Top 150 private schools globally for 2024.
