The British School of Brussels (BSB) is proud to have hosted the first International Physical Education ‘Teach Meet’ on 11 February 2019. A ‘Teach Meet’ is an organised informal meeting for teachers to share best practice, practical innovations and personal insights in teaching. Participants demonstrate best practice they have delivered, or tools that enhance their teaching.
This one-day event gave Physical Education teaching staff the opportunity to share their expertise and gain new skills and knowledge, while developing their network and meeting like-minded colleagues.
Colleagues from 12 other international schools took part in the Teach Meet. Keynote speaker, Liz Durden-Myers, spoke about ‘Nurturing Physical Literacy within Education’. Liz is a lecturer in physical education at the University of Gloucestershire, and Vice-Chair of the International Physical Literacy Association.
