As well as being so highly rated in the index, which is compiled by Spear’s in partnership with Carfax Education, BSB has been awarded a Top Flight status, an honour bestowed on only a few schools.
The Spear’s Schools Index is the only global ranking of the world’s leading private schools. BSB is the only school in Belgium included in the index.

As well as formal criteria such as academic results and preparation for university entry, schools are ranked on their unique ethos, their reputation both locally and internationally, and how adequately they prepare students for life beyond academia.

The inclusion in the Spear’s Schools Index 2022 comes hot on the heels of another set of fabulous exam results across all of BSB’s Post-16 pathways with a 100% exam pass rate for A Level, BTEC and the IB Diploma for the third consecutive year.
BSB’s outstanding A Level results this year were the best in the school’s history and included more than a quarter of our students achieving A*, while around half of all students achieving A-A* grades.
BTEC results were also extremely impressive with a 100% pass rate. A remarkable set of results included 35% of all grades at Distinction* (the highest grade and equivalent to an A* in A Level) and 83% of all grades at Merit or higher.
BSB is already ranked as a top IB performing school and students this year also achieved fantastic IB (International Baccalaureate) results and another remarkable 100% pass rate.
