Families of BSB

A parents' association that you will want to be part of.

Families of BSB (FoBSB) is the parents’ association of The British School of Brussels.

Run entirely by parent volunteers, FoBSB has a huge variety of events, activities, groups, information and support services to help you and your family get the most from your time at BSB and in Belgium.

Parents have their own centre on campus in Cavell House. The drop-in lounge with WiFi is open to all parents during the school day and for families after school as a waiting area during activities. There’s also a parent volunteer-run café open several times a week so you are encouraged to stop by to enjoy a coffee and a relaxing chat.

Cavell House is the venue for numerous activities for parents, including language conversation classes, a book club, first aid courses, cookery demonstrations, a craft club, talks, pilates and more. Trips and off-campus activities also take place throughout the year.

Part activity group, part support network, FoBSB is open to all parents, helping you to feel at home even before you arrive.

The Ampolini family, USA

“We changed schools and joined BSB because we felt our son needed to be challenged more academically. The tour of the school gave us a wonderful impression (the facilities, the professionalism of the staff, the size, the Admissions staff). I just wish I had considered the British School when we came two years ago. As Americans we sometimes shy away from British schools because they are different from what we are traditionally used to but on the international scale BSB is very highly regarded.”

— The Ampolini family, USA
